Hello Sun Devils! My name is Solomon Tyler, and I'm honored to announce that I'm running for Student Body President at Arizona State University. I'm currently a junior studying Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business. I don't come from a traditional USG background. My experience at ASU has come from being deeply involved in organizations across campus. I'm a member of Scholars of Finance, in which I served as a Leadership Development Facilitator. I'm also involved in Sigma Nu and Delta Sigma Pi, two organizations that have allowed me to give back to the community through philanthropy. In addition, I serve on the executive board of Sankofa within the Black African Coalition as the Director of Finances and Resources. Through these experiences, I've seen the real impact that USG can have on students and our community. They've also given me the perspective to see where we can do better and how the student government can truly represent the voices of all students. I love our school, and I truly believe that we're in the golden age of ASU. I want to serve and help our university reach even greater heights in the coming years. Our student body has a wide range of different backgrounds, interests, and cultures, and I believe that there is a place here for every student. This ticket has developed policies and initiatives to best unite everyone, and give the students the best experience possible. The Select Solomon ticket is committed to strengthening our community, listening to your ideas, and making a lasting impact on ASU. Together, the sky is the limit.

Hi Sun Devils! My name is Maddie Cicenia, and I'm excited to be running for Vice President of Services on the Select Solomon ticket. I am a sophomore studying Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business and a member of Barrett, The Honors College. During my freshman year, I served as an intern with Undergraduate Student Government, where I worked alongside student leaders on initiatives that enhance the student experience and connect ASU students with the surrounding community. Outside of USG, I am involved in several organizations across campus. I currently serve as Vice President of Membership in Kappa Kappa Gamma, where I help lead recruitment and strengthen chapter engagement, and previously served as Vice President of Finance, where I managed chapter budgeting, member dues, and emphasized transparency in financial communication. I am also a member of Investment Banking Industry Scholars (IBIS) and an APPLE Campus Leader through W. P. Carey, where I help plan and promote events that bring students together. Through these experiences, I've developed a strong passion for service and community engagement. As Vice President of Services, I hope to expand service opportunities, strengthen partnerships with local organizations, and help more Sun Devils get involved in giving back. I'm proud to be part of a ticket that prioritizes unity, student voices, and building a stronger community across ASU. Together, we can continue creating a campus where every Sun Devil has the opportunity to make an impact.

Hi Sun Devils! My name is Brooke Arneson, and I am more than thrilled to announce that I am running for Vice President of Policy on the Select Solomon ticket. I am a junior studying Biomedical Engineering in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and a member of Barrett, The Honors College. This past year, I had the honor of being elected and serving as an Undergraduate Student Government Senator representing the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of how student government operates, the role we play in shaping the student experience, and the many unmet needs that still exist across campus. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I work directly with student organizations to review funding requests and help allocate resources that support events, initiatives, and opportunities for students at ASU. I have also previously served as the Director of Academics for Pi Beta Phi, where I worked to support academic success while fostering a community that encourages scholarship and personal growth. Through my academics, extracurricular involvement, and past work experiences, I have developed a strong passion for advocating for others and creating meaningful change through policy. Growing up in the small town of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, home to just 3,500 people, showed me the true meaning of community and the importance of supporting those around us, values that I carry with me in everything I do at ASU. It was there that I learned a simple but powerful lesson: a little kindness goes a long way, and together we can accomplish more than we ever could alone. I am excited for the opportunity to continue serving our campus and working toward policies that lift up student voices. I'm proud to be part of a ticket that believes in bringing students together, listening to their concerns, and proactively working to create meaningful change across ASU.

Hi everyone! My name is Abby Wilson. I am super excited to announce my role on the Select Solomon ticket as the Campaign Manager. I am a third-year student studying Business Law with an emphasis in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics within Barrett, the Honors College. Currently, I am studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, but previously I served in USG for two years as a director in the policy department. I am super involved around campus, including working at the SDFC as a Barre instructor, my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, where I previously held a position, and serving on the Hillel student board. I am proud to support a ticket that prioritizes the student-to-student relationship that I find so valuable. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me — I can't wait to be back on campus with you all soon!
What We Stand For
Sun Devils, Stronger Together. One ASU, many roads — our campus is strongest when every student feels heard, supported, and able to succeed. Our platform focuses on transparent student government, student wellness and basic needs, and reducing the hidden barriers that make college harder than it should be.
Transparent & Student-Driven Government
Student government should work for students, not the other way around. We will increase transparency, improve communication, and give students a direct voice in policy through ad hoc committees, organization liaisons, and a clear policy transparency hub.
Student Wellness & Basic Needs
Students do their best when their needs and mental health are supported. We will expand mental health initiatives, strengthen food security programs, and create tools like a “Swipe Bank” so no Sun Devil falls through the cracks.
Affordability, Access & Academic Success
College should be accessible, affordable, and designed to help students succeed. We will tackle hidden costs, improve systems like registration and waitlists, and expand access to essentials like technology rentals, printing, and campus spaces.

01
Transparent & Student-Driven Government
For Students, By Students
Student government should work for students, and students should understand how decisions are made.
Activate Ad Hoc Policy Committees
Create special-interest committees where students can directly contribute to policy discussions on mental health, food security, accessibility, and sustainability. Students will be recruited through clubs and academic orgs, with open forums to bring proposals directly to USG working groups.
Student Organization Liaison Program
Assign USG members as official liaisons to student organizations to improve communication and help orgs navigate funding and policy. Each senator will partner with several organizations, attend meetings periodically, and provide guidance on funding requests and campus resources.
USG–Business Office Coordination Liaison
Create a designated liaison between USG and the ASU Business Office to streamline approvals and reduce delays. Establish regular coordination meetings and clearer documentation so organizations understand requirements before submitting requests.
Student Policy Transparency Hub
Develop a centralized online hub explaining USG policies in clear language, including plain-language summaries, change explanations, and resources covering relevant local and national policy that could impact students.
Election Engagement Standards
Increase student awareness and turnout through structured outreach including classroom visits, organization partnerships, and digital explainers about how student government works and why it matters.
"Student government should work for students — and students should understand how decisions are made."
02
Student Wellness & Basic Needs
Supporting Student Success
Students succeed when their needs and mental health are supported.
Campus Mental Health Advocacy Initiative
Launch a campus-wide philanthropy event in collaboration with the dean's office that raises funding for mental health programs while highlighting student creativity and advocacy through a talent-based fundraising event.
Mental Health Syllabus Standards
Advocate for the inclusion of mental health resources and flexibility language in course syllabi by collaborating with faculty and academic leadership to encourage consistent language about available support systems.
Food for Fines Program
Allow students to reduce parking or minor fines through food donations to the ASU Pitchfork Pantry during designated donation periods, supporting food-insecure students while reducing student costs.
Swipe Share & Meal Assistance
Create a digital system allowing students to share unused meal swipes or request emergency meal support anonymously. Partner with Sun Devil Dining to develop a "Swipe Bank" where donated swipes are redistributed to students in need.
"When we take care of each other's basic needs, every Sun Devil can focus on what really matters — learning and growing."
03
Affordability, Access & Academic Success
Reducing Barriers
College should be accessible, affordable, and designed to help students succeed.
Improved Class Registration System
Advocate for improvements to the registration platform to reduce stress during peak enrollment — working with university IT to improve system flow, reduce bottlenecks, and provide estimated wait times.
Waitlist Transparency Improvements
Increase transparency so students better understand their chances of enrolling in full classes through clearer waitlist position indicators and estimated movement ranges.
Device & Laptop Rental Access
Expand short-term laptop and device rentals for students experiencing temporary financial or technical challenges by collaborating with ASU libraries and technology services.
Graduation Cost Reduction
Advocate for cap-and-gown rental options to reduce the cost of graduation, working with the university bookstore and graduation offices to introduce affordable rental programs.
Reduce Mandatory Printing Costs
Promote digital submissions and provide limited free printing credits. Establish a student printing hub within the USG office offering free printing access to reduce financial barriers.
Free Access to Campus Resources
Advocate for eliminating fees to rent campus rooms, equipment, and supplies for student organizations — removing unnecessary barriers that prevent orgs from hosting events.
Athletic Ticket Sharing
Allow students to securely transfer unused athletic event tickets to other students through a secure ticket-transfer system that ensures student tickets are used while maintaining fairness and access.
"College should be designed to help students succeed — not hold them back with hidden costs and broken systems."
